Natural Sciences Practicum: Additional dives - 14

Project based practicum involving a major work project and incorporating all knowledge and skills from the Natural Sciences module. Project will consist of photographing and identifying a minimum of 200 species

 

Technical Skills Module: PADI required dives - 18

Night Diver - Wreck Diver - Navigation Diver - Deep Diver - Search and Recovery Diver

 

Technical Skills Practicum: Additional dives - 12

Multiple projects: Coral Reef mapping project, shipwreck research project, navigation projects, underwater search and recovery 

 

Environmental & Research Project:  Total dives - 50

Incorporates all diving and environmental knowledge into one major semester project or dives may be used for environmental volunteer work (rebuilding reefs, reef monitoring, underwater clean-ups, turtle protection, etc.)

Optional Underwater Video Course: PADI required dives - 3 

 

Semester dive total = 120 dives minimum

This semester is a perfect educational experience for students who seek the opportunity to experience and understand the beauty and importance of the ocean ecosystem. Students will have the opportunity to ‘dive’ into their school work for a semester. Students will learn in a beautiful environment. This semester will be your opportunity to learn while scuba diving in the exotic ocean environment. Student planning careers in environmentalism, conservation, archaeology, history, geography, research, education, underwater photography, underwater video, environmental travel, tourism careers and many other fields of study will benefit from this semester exploring the coral reefs. Research divers participate will be trained to participate in all aspects of underwater research projects. Photographers will have the opportunity to photograph the beauty that surrounds you.
